Accreditation Framework

Standards and Criteria

Accrely is built around a structured hierarchy of Standards and Criteria aligned with BAC (Bangladesh Accreditation Council) guidelines. This framework ensures every program is evaluated consistently and comprehensively.

What are Standards?

Standards are high-level accreditation requirements defined by BAC. Each standard represents a broad area of quality assurance that a program must satisfy — such as curriculum design, teaching methodology, student assessment, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, and governance.

What are Criteria?

Criteria are specific, measurable benchmarks nested under each standard. They break down broad standards into concrete, assessable items. For example, under a "Faculty Qualifications" standard, criteria might include faculty-to-student ratio, percentage of PhD holders, research output, and professional certifications.

How Accrely Uses Them

Accrely pre-loads BAC standards and criteria for each program type. Documents are mapped to specific criteria, assessments are scored per criterion, and reports are generated standard-by-standard. This three-tier structure (Program → Standard → Criteria) ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

Custom standards and criteria can also be configured for programs with unique accreditation requirements beyond the default BAC framework.
